2. General information

We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking tools and does not load third-party content unless you actively request it.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages). When you visit the website, technically necessary data is processed:

  • IP address
  • date and time of access
  • requested page or file
  • referrer URL
  • browser type and version, operating system

This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

4. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are served locally from our own server. No connection to Google or other providers is made.

5. Google Maps

On the home page and the contacts page you can display a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is loaded only after you click the "Show map (Google Maps)" button. Only then is data, in particular your IP address, transmitted to Google; this may include a transfer to Google LLC in the USA (certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). More information: Google Privacy Policy.

6. Contacting us by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number, content of your message) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

For our e-mail communication we use Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited) as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

7. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other websites, e.g. LinkedIn and our partners. These are plain links: no data is transferred to these providers until you click the link. The respective provider is responsible for processing on its website.

8. Storage period

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or as required by statutory retention periods. After that, the data is deleted.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
